Ms. Walker is the founder and President of HirePotential, Inc. which is a national for profit firm providing outsourcing, consulting and employment solutions to fortune 1000 organizations and Federal Government Agencies. HirePotential is focused on an emerging market of untapped potential. This employee and consumer population includes people with disabilities, the aging population, and veterans. HirePotential's services provide corporations access to this untapped market through our employment, accommodations, training, methodology and solutions.
Ms. Walker has a clinical background as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Therapist. She brings 24 years of broad-based expertise in working with people with disabilities in both healthcare and corporate America. Ms. Walker was employed by Alternative Resources Corporation, A-R-C, a national IT management and staffing business, as the Program Manager of Disability and Diversity to create, build and deliver the A-R-C REACH Program. The A-R-C REACH Program sources and places people with disabilities, mature workers, welfare recipients and veterans in A-R-C client environments. This program generated over $7 million in incremental revenue for A-R-C in the first year and close to $500,000 in tax credits.
Prior to joining A-R-C, Ms. Walker has extensive experience in physical rehabilitation services. This experience spans trauma to post-acute outpatient treatment. Ms. Walker held positions including treating therapist, supervisor, program manager, account executive and director. She has been a featured lecturer speaking on many topics related to physical rehabilitation treatment and the employment of people with disabilities.
Ms. Walker received her Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Administration with a concentration in Therapeutic Recreation from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in June 1985.
Ms. Walker has served on the National Disability Mentoring Day Committee for Colorado and the US Business Leadership Network on the Employment of People with Disabilities. She has also served on the formally known President's Task Force on the Employment of People with Disabilities and the Colorado Business Leadership Network for the employment of people with disabilities. Ms. Walker currently serves on a committee for the Brain Injury Association of Colorado and was most recently asked to serve on the Denver Mayor's committee for People with disabilities. She has received several awards from groups such as Colorado Human Resources Association, Colorado Business Leadership network and Department of Vocational Rehabilitation for demonstrating best practices on the employment of people with disabilities. She has lectured across the country regarding several issues around disability issues such as recruiting, hiring, retaining, managing, training, productivity, risk management and worker's compensation. She is certified with the American Board of Disability Analysis.
